Habitat/Botanical Surveys

An extended Phase 1 habitat survey can be performed to map habitats and to collate a list of species present. Giles Agro-Ecology can also perform specialist botanical surveys in accordance with the National Vegetation Classification system (NVC) to identify the vegetation communities and sub-communities present. Both types of survey will identify if priority UK Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) habitats or species are present.

Hedgerow surveys can also be performed in order to identify hedges which may be protected under the 1997 Hedgerow regulations.
